Encore for Jose Carreras!
Naples was honored with the performance by one of the most renowned operatic stars of the world, Jose Carreras. During the 1990's and early 2000's Carreras sang with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti as the Three Tenors. I was thrilled to hear his marvelous voice! The packed audience at the Phil reacted the same, as he was given thunderous ovations, eliciting two encores.
