The Naples Philharmonic Orchestra's Pops Series

Last night the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Jack Everly, presented Viva Las Vegas, a marvelous performance that included a cast from Broadway and Las Vegas.  The orchestra is truly a very accomplished one for the size of Naples, and last night's show was stellar.  Martin Preston, as Liberace, demonstrated his mastery of the piano and added humor and flair to the program.  The accompanying vocalists were great, but the most outstanding was Allison Briner.  She has a very powerful voice and remarkable ability to impersonate some of the famous stars of all times.  The Vegas theme included such old favorites as Luck Be A Lady, Fly Me to the Moon, New York, New York, and several samba songs, complete with Rio de Janeiro costumes and flamboyance.
