Seasonal Boat Parades in Naples

The holiday season is an enchanting time in Southwest Florida and boating enthusiasts add to the spirit.  Since moving to Naples 7 years ago, I rarely miss one of the annual boat parades, and especially enjoyed last year's event aboard a local yacht.

Ft. Myers Beach will launch the season with its 21st annual boat parade at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th.  On the same night, vessels in Bonita Springs will leave from the Fish House Restaurant on Bonita Beach Road and head up the Imperial River.

Naples traditionally hosts two boat parades, the first to be held at The Village on Venetian Bay on Thursday, December 11th.  The annual naples Bay Boat parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 13th, will lift anchor in Bayview and pass by Tin City and the Naples City Dock.

Last, but not least, Marco Island will host its parade on Saturday, December 20th.  Residents and visitors alike cheer the brightly-decorated boats and join in the festivities.  It looks like another fun-filled holiday season!
